Five registered users in the past 24 hours with nothing to say?? Lets use this board to catch up with each other. I for one miss our gatherings and have some time on my hands to get caught up. As most of you know my surgery went well and healing is coming along. A urostomy is life changing but it beats the alternative, on the plus side my bladder no longer gets me up in the night. Thanks to all who have sent messages and best wishes, they are truly appreciated. We will get past the problems of the world and will be able to get together before long. Times are tough and times are hard.....this my friends is your Christmas Card. Dick

Well said my friend! Really glad that you are getting better, and with the attitude that you have about it, it will continue to get better. Life does SUCK rite now, and I also miss what we had as a group, but I am also optimistic about the future. Life is all about adapting to changing conditions, and we will all get through this, as a GROUP, of friends that are more like a family than just a group. So to all my family.......Have a great Christmas, and look forward, not backward in the new year. Best wishes Gomer

Okay, you asked for it!!! First of all, Dick I want to add that Terry and I are grateful that you are doing well. This world is beating the crap out of us lately. Continue getting better!!! I'm guilty of checking the board when I get in to the Library but I don't spend a lot of time writing anything. I do think it's a nice idea for us all to keep in touch, using whatever tools we have be that by phone, texting, emails - whatever! I only have access to the internet Wed/Thu. We are doing well, keeping to ourselves pretty much. My circulation desk at the Library is like a freaking fortress! Terry put up a nice frame around it and it has plexiglas and lexan in it. I did what I had to, to re-open the Library. People are very grateful that we are open and I really hope that all we've done to comply with the Covid protocols will keep them and me safe. Terry decided that he won't be attending any more shoots, be it Geezer shoots or the Eye of the Hawk. For us, it is just not worth the risk with things being the way they are now. Everyone is entitled to think what they like, but that is a decision that we made for ourselves. Anyway, that said I hope that everyone is well and continues to stay well. As you guys said, this too will pass and we will be together as our family again. Oh, by the way, my Mom passed on October 29th. It was a blessing but long story, so yeah, this year has sucked for so many reasons. So, wishing you all a peaceful, healthy Christmas and for us all a happy, healthy New Year. Love you all. M 'n M & No Touch Hole.

Marcia and I are back in Atlanta and doing OK. We had to delay our trip back for a few weeks as I could not walk more than a few feet without some pretty impressive nerve pain down my leg. 3rd bout this year. Pretty bad compression of the L5 nerve root. MRI matched with a narrowed left L4-5 with a piece of protruding disc. Had to get wheelchair transport to make it through the Atlanta airport but now able to get in a 30min walk every day without pain, just stiff joints. Still having to be careful with bending and lifting, sucks. Hopefully 2021 will be better, sure would like to get out and do more. Marcia is doing well and our wonderful Newf pup was glad to see us and us him. Been working on small projects like a folding stove that burns gelled alcohol or hexamine tabs that fits in an Altoids tin. Yesterday and today finished hand sewing a tote bag from one of Marius's food bag. Still head our doctor network but all of our meetings have been on the phone or internet since early March, so it really doesn't matter where I am. Our new garage & workshop addition to our Searsport house is mostly done except for some interior finishing. Extending/fixing the end of the driveway with asphalt has to wait for warm weather in the spring.
