Looking for some information on if I can or can’t hoot round ball out of a rifled barrel gun

Muzzle loader? The twist rate of the rifling will effect accuracy. An inline will shoot roundballs or conicals however you will loose some accuracy as they are bored with a slow twist rate.

Thank you for the information yes it would be a muzzleloader but its not an inline it’s a side hammer one

Correction to my earlier response! I should have said "fast" twist. If you have a sidelock it is most probably bored for roundball accuracy. The twist rate does vary with manufacturer however. Thompson Center barrels are generally 1 turn in 45" and CVA were bored at 1 turn in 66". Your patch thickness and powder charge will vary per barrel for best accuracy. I have killed deer and bear with round balls. Very effective and more accurate than conicals. Nit Wit
