I'm using Cactus Juice brand resin. I bought a TurnTex chamber and a single stage vacuum pump from Harbor Freight.

Got a week.....lol! 1 day in the kiln, 2 days in the chamber...4 days in the pressure pot. Then it gets baked for 2 hours at 195 degrees.
I've got 25 scale sets to do right now. Five more of them in that long leaf maple burl.
Roy and Briggs did some experimenting on stabilized maple. It will take aquafortis like it normally does. It works with alcohol based stains too.

Some birdseye from Shine. Added red aluminite dye to the stabilizing resin.
