Alright folks! Due to a lot of work and meetings by Dick J Gomer and myself we have officially signed the contract renting The Windsor Fair Grounds.
The Dates for the vous will be July 25 - Aug 1st 2020 Thursday 23nd and Friday 24th will be early set up. Camp fee is $50.00 single or family. $40.00 Pre- Registration single or family The cut off date will be May 24 2020. Kids outside of the family are $5.00
Come camp with us one more time perhaps it will be our last big one! We are promoting Campers and motor home as we will have over 100 sites with electricity and water also a dumping station is on-site. The fee is $ 20.00 per night (our cost).
We will have 10x10 space to rent for $75.00 for the week for modern and primitive vendors in buildings bring your own tables or racks. The buildings will be locked every night. Blanket traders are welcome with no fee and no price limits! Traders with primitive trade tents will pay not pay a trade fee, we are asking for a prize donation. They will pay the standard entry fee. No Cartridge firearms/ 1865 black powder firearms are allowed to be sold as long as they don't take a metallic cartridge.
We will also have modern tent sites available.
The public will be in every day, Wednesday (feast day) and the camp feast will be fresh sweet Maine lobster!.
I will try and get lobster trucks in for your convenience, also we will have large boiling kettles to cook lobster.
Windsor is 12 miles East from Augusta Route 17 and not far from Belfast and Rockland, two great coastal towns. LL Bean is about 40 miles or so to the south
.
This will be a laid back fun event with all the usual competitions and an active night life with games round robins and entertainment!
We have a great area for the range and woods walks. You will not be out in the direct sun, lot's of shade! We will have transportation to and from the range for anyone who wants to participate. Bring your gear!
This will be a time line event including Civil War re-en actors
We want to encourage new people to compete, those who want to compete , such as a day trippers, they will pay a $10.00 fee and we would ask that they wear at a minimum of a primitive shirt. Shirts will be available from blanket traders or vendors in the fair grounds.
