Pease, The Ancient One's insurance carrier covers activities held on property owned by active members upon prior notification. Charlie has to contact them and register the event each time (PIA for him) but that's how it works, we also must have each contestant registered as a Club member. As stated in prior post I do not have the contact information.

You people are all entitled to think/feel what you want but remember that this is NOT a CLUB EVENT. This is a shoot put on by a homeowner, who DOES HAVE HOMEOWNER'S INSURANCE. Anyway, several of us will be attending and it promises to be a ton of fun. I remember at one point several club members saying how important it was to support anyone who it trying to keep the black powder shoots going. I guess this is an exception........... Anyway, hope you all have a great New Year! ~M 'n M

Do you really think homeowners covers a shoot?? It doesn't.I Pease would join the club he could have a shoot covered for 10.00 (his dues) plus 10.00 for each shooter who is also not a club member. Our club had two serious accidents over the years and we were just plain lucky that the injuries were not more serious! Probably nothing will happen, but lawyers don't just go after the land owner. We are trying to support this shoot! For what little money it would cost it's just plain stupid not to be covered. Lunch will cost more than the insurance. I just don't want to risk what I have, plain and simple! Nit Wit

I do not have reenactment insurance. This is not a reenactment type event, that I am hosting. In addition...there are no charges to shoot at it. For some reason, nobody is willing or able to give me a straight answer. Its really a simple question...Who is the insurance underwriter that insured the Geezer shoots for 2016? What type policy? I asked many times in this thread and over the phone. You folks keep wanting me to pay....but aren't willing discuss details on the policy that would supposedly cover this offsite event. No-one's even stated the underwriters name. Why would anyone be interested, unless you are willing to provide even the most basic information... on the event insurance coverage you are offering. It just makes no sense....

Knew I was going to cause a problem with my statement. It is unfortunate this is happening but the writing is on the wall and plain for all to see. No one seems to want to give information or be of any serious help. I have friends in both "Camps" and I'm NOT going to choose between them. Terry & I will be at the shoot and we will have a great time. Happy New Year to everyone. ~M 'n M

Dick told you in an earlier post to call Charlie for info. It's through NRA. We covered shoots at your place before with the same company. I'm not the purser Charlie is and he deals with the insurance. If you joined the Ancient Ones you would be covered, 10.00, to be a member. That's what doesn't make sense! NW

Thanks M'n'M... best to you and No Touchole for New Years! In all these years I have never shot with you. That alone is going to make my day! See you on Saturday!
