10-4...arrive at 9 to muster if you plan on carrying firearms/bladed weapons. This is a fun time - you can either defend or invade the town, then enjoy lunch in one of the many restaurants (discounts for reenactors provided at muster). From buccaneers to belly dancers, re-enactors from throughout the New England area will converge on Lincoln County Sat., June 20 to participate in the 8th annual Damariscotta River Pirate Rendezvous, a fundraiser for Lincoln County nonprofits. The day-long event begins at 8 a.m. with a Pirate Pancake Breakfast at the Damariscotta Baptist Church. At 10 a.m. piratical activities open throughout the in-town areas of Damariscotta and Newcastle. The event highlight comes at noon, when the Mystic Pirates O’ the Damariscotta rise from the depths of history, sail in aboard their armed 57-foot sailing vessel, and invade the twin villages of Damariscotta and Newcastle. Cross the bridge in Dammarascotta, fish market on right, go between the buildings and park. walk back toward the bridge, look to your left after the fish mkt. official is 10:30 am there. We will be a little earlier. Make up some paper charges, I use penny tubes. NW
