Barlow Woodswalk. Held in Athens Maine at the Homestead. 884 Brighton Road Rte 151 Rifle Gun OnlyOptional Camping. There will be a modern Hooter on site. Primitive or Not. You can come in streetclothing or use modern camping gear  Bring one prize for the event, primitive or not. 15 dollar value. Come with two ideas for woods related events, and bring your own props for Same. Can be knife, hawk, gun, or any wood related event. Come prepared!!!! As if you are doing all events at once. Let's see a good turn-out to honor the contributions Jerry and Terry have made to the "Black Powder Community" over the years. Hope to see some of the "Fort" folks show up.

Nate and I are at a wedding on August 17 so we cannot make it to the Barlows' for the event  We'll make it up there some time...Have fun!!!! |

It would take an awful lot to cause me to miss a Barlow shoot. I've been to a few and they are uncomparable to anything else. I was planning to bring Eli (Lisa's working) and come Friday night to camp over primitive, mostly so I wouldn't be late. My brother called today and his family trip to New England is next weekend through the following one. I have a canoe trip planned for the far weekend and they wanted to spend a couple of days with us, if was just my brother coming I'd dress him up and drag him along too, he's a pretty fair shot but his wife and 3 little kids might not be so impressed with it, so I'm going to have bow out this time, regrettably, but I'll be listening for word of another in the future. Thank Terry and Jerry for putting this on for us again, they always go all out to make it memorable. Have a good time and watch for traps, that Ol' Boar be a might sneaky old cuss.

A most excellent day... ;D Perfect weather...a great gathering of shooters, and the food was outstanding. Except for the raw liver! I hope we make this an annual event. All I saw was happy faces all day long! Pease |

God, I hate raw liver, but an A/O will eat anyting for more points! I proved that I have the loudest percussion caps too! We had the best chocolate cream pie I've had in a while. That snack shack is almost worth the trip.
