Got my version of your bag finished today.... Way to much like work. ;D Cut patterns that make it a tapered gusseted bag with welts. That is some hard hand stitching. Bag is reversed while being sewn up then soaked in a tub of warm water in order to punch it right side out. Stained then wax finished. Sinew was used for all the stitching. It has three pockets sewn in and a 3" belt loop. Pease

Nice work! Since you soaked the bag, I am assuming that you meant artificial sinew was used for the stitching? Real sinew usually doesn't do well with a heavy soaking....

Yep, artificial sinew. Like working with it...seems to hold up well and helps create a nice even look. Especially when saddle stitching.
