The lobster feed also went well and we were well fed. The best question of the vous was"wheres the club banner?" some new folks also, don't miss the Spring vous! Booshway

It was a good weekend for TEAM BRIGGS!!! I think the Scotch/Irish came through in the Highland Games. What a hoot! Thanks Renee and Nate for running them. Terry mentioned almost feeling a little guilty for walking away with so much but I told him we all have the same chances and if you place first in an event, you've earned it! ;D We had a great weekend. Good times, good friends. Gotta love it. It was great to see Gummi and Barry, hope they can make it down again soon. Thanks to everyone who ran an event or did ANYTHING to make the Rendezvous run smoothly for everyone else. M 'n M

Hi Everyone, This is "Mike" one of the new folks, or FNG in another parlance! I want to thank all of you for welcoming me to your group. I really had a great time!!! The whole event was casual and laid back yet very well organized. Your site is incredible!! With every turn around a trail there was another building or campsite. Pre-cut free firewood !! Great well water!! You all have alot to be proud of. For many years I have heard about the group, as well as many of you from our mutual friend Shine, so this weekend was often a case of putting a face or an experience with the background. In particular I would like to thank the folks that were my campmates for helping me learn the ropes and sand a little off my "Green-horns" So Rick (Shine), Half/Brother, Ray, Nate and of course the lovely ladies, Claire, Sarah and Renee. And certainly little Jack !! I appreciate your patience, and hospitality, and I certainly am looking forward to the next event and seeing you all again soon!!
Thanks again, Mike

You guys just can't let it go, can you....? OK, lesson learned....Never again will I come off a miserable summer of 7 day/week work by mixing rhubarb wine and Newfoundland Screech. [Along with Renee's coffee brandy, Gummi's beer, and whatever the hell grew that hair on the jug over across camp!] My apologies to all for any noise early Sunday morning, and to Shine and his company for the mess in camp. But hey, I've taken care of Shine and Half Brother both, in their hour of need, so I don't feel THAT bad about it. On another subject; welcome to Mike, that FNG. It was good to see you in camp, and I'm glad that you enjoyed the weekend, and the wine. Hope you will join us again. I promise....Saturday night isn't always like that! I've got my pack loaded and the canoe ready to go, and I'm out of here for a little woods time starting tomorrow, so I'll talk to you guys later. Hillbilly
