One of Vance's 5th graders who were out to vous with us twice, Hillary Hoyt, was named teacher of the year for Waldo county. Her mom, Ellen was one of Vance's former students who was one of his volunteer moms. Hillary teaches in Winterport, which is where the Frankfort kids go now.
