The Pemaquid Committee has opened up the 2019 registration for this year's event to be held Sat & Sun July 27th & 28th at Colonial Pemaquid in Bristol. It is a juried event set in the 1690's but mostly you'll need period correct basic clothing to start. Vinny at Bethlehem Trading Post can help with most. Contact Judy Wasson : judy@eracousens.com
Many of the principles were at our show last weekend; Judy & Bill Wasson, Jeff Miller, Kenny Hamilton, myself, Paul Daiute, Mike Dekker, Reb and others

lol, first find a suitable ash tree. I think Judy had to go out of state to find one, then debark and debug it before bringing it back.

Briggs has brown ash on his land. I don't think your supposed to bring ash into Maine. They worry about the emerald ash borer.

I believe that you are correct regarding importation. However...It's too late, the little B------- are here already. I watched a great demo of this as well as much more at a Gathering of Native Tribes at U of M, usually held the weekend following July 4th.

We have seen them on our property. Last year I cut out the ash on our land.

Down to 2 1/2 weeks. I'm trying to finish hand sewing a tarp for shade and to protect the guns a little more. I plan on putting out several more early ones this year. Get up to the house next Wednesday.

Is this event really happening? I can find nothing about it on-line even after multiple searches. All available is old news? Cheers, Foxtail

One of the things that really hurts them is no one gets it posted to any of the events pages and even the Parks people don't get it listed as so many Maine parks, they fire everybody in October and don't confirm a new job until the April/may time frame so when the new people start in May, they have missed the window to get events posted with the State. The Friends group is a group that really reminds me of some of the NMLRA and CLA hierarchy, if they don't control it, they will not cooperate and even allow the event to be listed in any of the park websites. Wonderful world. But it is on, at least Ken Hamilton and his clan,Jeff Miller, Reb, myself, Paul Diaute, Mike Dekker and others will be there. Don't know about the folks from Quebec this year.

They tend to have us set up around the parking area for the museum and the reconstructed house that's over by the cemetery.
